Mr. Maisner's hand can be seen writing live-on-screen in film and television. Feature films include writing as Daniel Day Lewis' hand in Martin Scorsese's "The Age of Innocence," as Johnny Depps hand in Tim Burtons "Sleepy Hollow," and as Sean Connery's writing in "Finding Forrester," directed by Gus van Sant. Maisner created props for "Gangs of New York," by Martin Scorsese, and for the 2008 film "P.S. I Love You," starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler. Maisner also wrote as Leonardo Da Vinci in a Dateline NBC television special.
Maisner created written document props for the upcoming Sherlock Holmes movie (on set with Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law and Guy Ritchie, director). Maisner was also recently filmed and interviewed as a handwriting expert for the upcoming PBS documentary "Rediscovering Alexander Hamilton," due out in 2010, by writer and host Richard Brookhiser.
In TV commercials, Maisner has been the live-writing hand playing the parts of numerous doctors and CEO's, as Cyrano de Bergerac, a medieval monk, and even as Ronald McDonald (while fully dressed in the yellow outfit and wearing the red wig).
